  • I have used this product for almost two years. I have one thing to say: excellent for the price.

    Pros:

[A] The sound quality is excellent; as good as any iPod or Sansa, but, of course, this depends on your headphones. The headphones that are shipped with this player are quite insufficient. I bought some high quality in-ear headphones and I was very satisfied.

[B] Menu system is outdated, but functional. It plays the song in the order that you sync them, so this is great if you are driving and you don’t want to distract yourself for too long. Also, once you get the hang of the interface, you’ll realize that simplicity is the key to a functional mp3 player- the same reason that the iPod is so popular.

[C] The functionality of the included flash drive both speeds up syncing time and makes it more convenient to do so. I can take this thing anywhere and plug it into any computer, copy the songs onto the hard drive, and do whatever I wish with them. All without the hassle and clutter of cords.

[D] The microphone is a feature that I seldom use, but the sound is fairly clear- for the price (don’t get me wrong, this is no sound studio…). I suppose that it could be used to record lectures and whatnot, but the only limitation with this is the size of the storage space. You’d be lucky to get two lectures on 256 MB of memory.

[E] The battery life is outstanding. On medium volume, I can usually get about 20 hours of listening time per Energizer battery. Maybe not as great as some, but definitely good. Good is for sure.

    Cons:

[A] Sometimes, the controls may not respond. Most notably, the play/pause button sometimes needs to be pressed twice to get it to work. I usually hold it down for half of a second, and it works just fine that way. But, hey, for the price, I have no complaints.

[B] I have had difficulties, occasionaly, with the unit spontaneously shutting off. This usually happens when I move it suddenly or have it in my pocket when I am walking. I think that this may just be a bad soldering in mine, but it could be that the battery doesn’t fit the slot as smugly as it should.

[C] Storage space is somewhat limiting. Usually, 40-50 songs will fit on there. Once again, for the price, this is…okay…

    Overall:

Definite buy if you have both only a small amount to spend and are looking for a good deal and if you are willing to upgrade when the time comes. Obviously, being a minority with a four star review, you may be skeptical, but I love this thing. It is good, sturdy, functional, cheap, and it has just enough storage space to entertain for about an hour. Things it is not: and iPod or a Sansa. Don’t expect one, and you wont be disappointed; don’t think it is, and you wont need a wakeup call. Once again, this is an excellent mp3 player FOR THE PRICE!

  • The instructions for this player were not clear. Even someone with an MP3 player had a hard time figuring it out. Plus the battery came all rusted and corroded which bled out onto the instruction book. I would not recommend this one unless you are a total genius at figuring how to operate things like this. Where am I now with the MP3 player? Still not listening to music. It may have been the right price, but I think I bought a dud.

  • While I enjoyed this little light weight gizmo while it lasted, it didn’t last very long. Within the span of a month it was pushing up daisies, not playing, not responding, not acessable through any computer (pc or mac.) I used it mostly during my mile walks to and from work and trips to the grocery store, neither could be considered extream environments.

  • Mp3 Players are bad for little kids, but good for 12 and up because they can slip out of your hand and brake. They are easy to put back together and is nice for listening.

It comes in different colors and can go anywhere.

  • Right out of the box this thing doesn’t work.Piece of junk.Zero stars would be more appropriate.Going directly into garbage pail, not worth wasting my time on it.
