Unless you have Windows Media Player 11, you will have to use the Connection Type as File & Folder find in the options of the player.
wow it started working 4 sum reason but thanks anyways
Sweet!
Isnt he a little rough with his mp3 player? haha
It can take way more then that
do u need to charge it when u buy it brand new? b/c when i connect it w/ the USB connector it says “ok to disconnect” but the bars in the top right corner are still moving.
It says OK to disconnect as from the computer.
The player is done charging when the the bar turns green.
alright thanks man
Does this player have a built in playlist?
You have to build the playlist with MTP or Windows Media Player 11 on your computer.
We are asking Insignia developers to built in OTG (on the go) playlists.
Nah.. I don’t like that idea.. OTG seems very nice. When are they making it? And does it have to be on the new firmware? I’m getting the pilot on ebay, and I need to know about playlist because that’s very important. Thanks..
Should I get one now? Or wait for the OTG playlist?
First, you wont really find too many MP3 players with OTG playlists, about 90% use the method I listed above, 9% don’t have any at all, and 1% have the OTG playlists. Those are not real numbers, but from what I have seen.
No idea when the firmware will be released.
There is no other way to make this functionality without a firmware update.
I would get the Pilot, because it’s the best feature to $ out there. Actually I don’t know of any other players with as many features.
I know. That is why I want it so bad because this mp3 player offer so much with just little price. Well, I think I am buying one tomorrow. So sad for the playlist. Anyways.. Thanks for the info. what is the latest firmware out right now? And can I still drag and drop the songs even though I update or do I have to purchase songs from best buy? Where can I contact insiginia pilot maker?
I just bought one online. It should arrive in a couple of days. One more question. How does the SD card works? Lets say if I purchase one and stick it in the slot. Does it show up as a separate folder or does it put all the music and video from the card and into the mp3 reading it as one hardrive? Or is there like a separate folder?
Sweet
The if you browse through the file/folder option then they show up as two separate folders. But if you use the regular ID3 Tag viewing, then they will be combined with the other songs and will look just like the music that is built in.
That is freaking sweet man. Well, I hope they upgrade the firmware in the future. I hope they really do add OTG playlist. PERFECTION..
Yeah, I really hope so to, would make my day
I can’t seem to put videos on this player. It’s hard. I even convert it and drag and drop the video on the video folder.. But still, it says unsupported. Help me?
Software on CD will convert any video down to 320×240 and I think 29 or 30fps, but converter will quickly convert files, then drag and drop to SD disk on player a 2 hour full length movie will be then about 500MB, player uses WMV format. but “Flavor of file is or seems to be critical for player to work. OR you get unsupported Format error. If you need converter Email from here and I will send it.
its about 14MB, Its called ArcSoftMediaConverter 2.
how do u cut the screw? i cant find a screw driver small enough
Go to a store and get a smaller screw driver set. You will damage your player otherwise.
You still use this mp3 player? I haven’t use it for so long because every-time I turn it on, it would turn off itself in like 5 minute or so. I’m thinking about purchasing another mp3 that’s kinda like this one.. If you know any, let me know. Otherwise, is it safe purchasing the battery on ebay? Will it work again?
No I don’t, I’ve moved on to a Cowon D2 with 16GB memory. Have you tried just charging it?
